Renov8 Homes
Our Methodology

A process rooted in discipline.

Five phases, each given the time it deserves. We refuse the false economy of rushed design. The brief is studied; the drawings are drawn; the work is made. There is no shortcut to a house that lasts.

Discovery & Vision

We begin every project with a long conversation. We visit the home, study the architecture, and listen carefully to the way you live and the way you would like to live. By the end of this phase we have produced a written brief — the document that every drawing in the project will answer to.

What is included
  • Site visit and architectural assessment
  • Programme and brief development
  • Budget and feasibility study
  • Engagement of consultants

Design Development

Drawing in earnest. We produce architectural plans, interior elevations, and the first material studies. Iterations are slow and considered — we would rather present three resolved options than thirty unresolved ones.

What is included
  • Architectural drawings and plans
  • Interior elevations and details
  • Initial material palette
  • Lighting and millwork concept

Specification & Sourcing

Every material, fixture, and finish is specified, sourced, and presented for approval. Stone slabs are visited in person; timber samples are matched; hardware is held in the hand before it is committed to the drawing.

What is included
  • Slab visits and stone selection
  • Timber and finish sampling
  • Plumbing, lighting, and hardware specification
  • Detailed cost plan

Construction & Craft

Our team takes over the site. We coordinate every trade, fabricate millwork in our own shop, and protect the home with the care that long-term residents deserve. Weekly site meetings keep the project legible to our clients throughout.

What is included
  • Construction management
  • In-house millwork fabrication
  • Trade coordination and quality control
  • Weekly site meetings and reports

Delivery & Care

We hand over a home that is photographed, documented, and entirely ready to be lived in. We remain available for the long-term care of the work, and we return for an annual review at the end of the first year.

What is included
  • Final walkthrough and snag list
  • Photographic record and care manual
  • Twelve-month review
  • Long-term maintenance and care

Let us craft something extraordinary.

We accept a small number of new commissions each year. If you are considering a renovation in the GTA, we would be glad to hear about your home.
